“Compassionate Systems Framework” Workshop to Strengthen Leadership for Systemic Change with Compassion

DSIL Join “Compassionate Systems Framework” Workshop to Strengthen Leadership for Systemic Change with Compassion

From August 18–20, 2025, teachers and staff from Darunsikkhalai School participated in a practical workshop titled “Introduction to the Compassionate Systems Framework” at King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT). The workshop was organized by the Center for Systems Awareness and the MIT Systems Awareness Lab.

The lead facilitators included:
🔹 Dr. Mette Miriam Boell – Visiting Research Scientist at MIT and Co-founder of the Center for Systems Awareness
🔹 Gustav Böll – Managing Director of Youth Programs
🔹 Napat Yisunsri – Youth Leadership Team

This workshop aimed to help participants understand how various systemic structures influence behaviors and collaboration, while also developing the capacity to perceive and transform these systems creatively and compassionately. Through experiential activities, participants enhanced their leadership skills and fostered a culture of learning within their organization.

Darunsikkhalai School is committed to empowering teachers and staff to design learning experiences and cultivate a school culture that meets the needs of the modern world. By applying the Compassionate Systems Framework, the school strives to nurture learners who understand themselves and others — and who are ready to engage in meaningful change for a better world.
